After being awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to study in Amsterdam following my graduation from Harvard, I was ecstatic about the move. But the very first thing I heard—from fellow Fulbrighters, the Netherlands Fulbright Commission, and Dutch friends—was just how difficult it is to find housing in Amsterdam.

I was trying to find a house to rent for over a month - very difficult for my situation as an expat. Had managed to go to some viewings hosted by other large agencies but I never reached to an agreement.

I 100% recommend Hendriks Housing, which I saw from Zeynep Cetin's instagram story, and after searching for an apartment desperately for 6 weeks with low to no responses, we decided to work with them. Quint and Mo were coming back to us with an optimistic and realistic attitude, which is exactly what is necessary in the difficult Amsterdam housing market. They were both working very professionally and diligently, applying to many houses, going to viewings for us and sending us videos and making several proposals in a short time frame for us. They also explained us some Dutch housing market concepts with patience.
